We say bye-bye to...

Mama Kitty must have known...

we found her allowing the babies to nurse
one last time...
She then left quietly...
not looking back...
before she ducked through the dog door
to go back outside.

Unaware that their lives were going to be turned upside down,
the babies settled down for a little nap in the morning sun.
But we needed to go.

We took one last look...
but they were a bit confused...

Umm...have you heard that saying...
'that was like herding cats'?

We had to give Biskit combat pay.

Bless her lil' heart...
We haven't seen Mama Kitty since then.

A place for everything and everything in its place.....

WAIT!!

You are 'not allowed' to read this blog
UNTIL....

you enter my contest!!!!

Look at yesterday's post to get updated!!

After looking at our Police Blotter, that old saying comes to mind:
'A place for everything and everything in its place.'
A lot of people have been rather RECKLESS
in their comings and goings this past week.

For instance:
A man on Creek Road reported that someone was
building a road through his property.

Building a roads sounds like good, wholesome fun for the whole family...it's just too bad this guy had to go and spoil the party.
Lesson Learned:  Check with the County before you start building roads willy nilly-they will let you know who enjoys a bit of road-building fun.

Live Ammunition reportedly was found
in the shrubbery on Walnut St.

Well, it has been hunting season around here.  And there has been a great deal of hunting going on..but even if you see the perfect elk on Walnut St., nobody's gonna take a shine to you opening fire on a street that includes the college and the hospital.
Lesson Learned:  It's those dad-gum city folks who make you hunt in 'designated areas.'

A man's wife sneaked through the
back door of a residence
and scared him.

There is no crime our local police can not solve. Of course, some nut jobs just want their 15 minutes of fame.
Lesson Learned:   Don't think you are getting away with anything here lil' missy!

A suspicious man reportedly pulled up
to a residence on 10th Avenue
in an ambulance.

Hmmm...this actually sounds like a well organized criminal.
Lesson Learned:  If you need the ambulance, just go down to 10th.

Well, here's a salve for your overworked brain...barn kitties!!!!

Look, they are in My Memories pages!!
DON'T FORGET TO LEAVE A COMMENT ON MY BLOG!!!!

Look at yesterday's post if you need to be updated!

Creepy Crime Time

Trick-or-Treaters swarmed our little county yesterday.  Although my family does not participate in the holiday, I do enjoy reading the articles and looking at the photos of the children posing in their costumes in our local newspaper the following day.

Who can resist those tiny, precious children dressed up in
darling, imaginative costumes
such as a princess fairy...?
or as a cowboy...?
or as a super hero...?
or...
or...
or as a zombie, blood-covered cheerleader?

##   What was "for realsies" creepy though?!....   ##

the Police Blotter...

Local police had their mittens full last night...
as the super heroes,
the princess fairies,
and...
and...those (gulp!) n i c e cheerleaders
began begging for treats and trying out their tricks...

But the real suffering began....
when the inanimate objects went rogue...

A bike was leaning up against a post for a couple of days on Sixth Avenue.
A car was following a person for two blocks on Pearl St.
An electric furnace reportedly went out on Idaho St.
(hmm...wonder where he was a goin'...)

SUDDENLY!!!!!
Paper reportedly was burning in the middle of Third Avenue.

THEN...
A ditch was on fire on Kittitas Highway!

PANIC!! and FEAR!!
(for realsies!!!)
caught like fire in the townspeople's minds...

A woman was heard yelling "hit me" on 11th Avenue.

Sadly, some were not strong enough...

A man screaming gibberish reportedly climbed to the top of a utility pole on North St.
# # #   # # #

Wow, this is kinda making me nervous....
it's plenty dark outside...
the wind is a howlin'
it's been awhile since I heard a truck or tractor drive by...
:: gasp! ::

 What lil' kitteh?
Did you hear something??

What?...What!
Speak English my dear...we are getting no where!
What do you see?
there's that noise again...
Let's get our brave guard dog!!
Yeah!
She will know what to do.

Hmmmmmmmm.....
Where IS my guard dog, Biskit?
What??!!
Ooohhh...Really?

You snore like a bear Biskit!
And don't try to tell me it was your bear!

Okies...

AFTER your coffee...
THEN you patrol.

Tuesday's crime report! (The barn kittens helped me!)

Look at how big the kitties are!
Their sister went to a loving home yesterday.
So the sleeping arrangements
had to be sorted out all over again.

Happy now boys?

Life IS hard.

But at least you live out in the country,

College is in full swing now in town,
and, boy! do those kids know how to study...

Yes, obviously we are all concerned...

They tend to be too strict with themselves...
remaining quarantined in the library,
all covered with cobwebs and dust
 from studying so much..

You might get a rare glimpse of
the scholars roaming about town...

A German shepherd-type dog reportedly was on Manitoba Avenue.
A Rottweiler and a pit bull reportedly were at large
in an alley near East Fourth Avenue.

Of course, it's always a relief to know that certain ones
have allowed themselves to get a bit of fresh air.

Now, it IS true what they say about college students,
they ARE eager to discuss,
debate
and generally revel
 in their new found knowledge...

A barking dog was reported on East First Avenue.

A barking dog was reported on East Fourth Avenue.

Sometimes it sounds a bit like bragging and arrogance...
but be patient with them as you know...
you are young, foolish and 25
for such a short time,

A dog on Alder Street reportedly was barking all morning.

Yes...some get a bit chatty,
but you know they mean well.
They do.

Whoa!
Did you hear that?

What WAS that sound??

A yellow Lab inside a vehicle reportedly was

setting off the vehicle's car alarm on Pearl Street.

Now that's gotta be a Freshman!!

Wow! Is he EXCITED or what?!

Seriously kitty, please put your nails away.

In time, that student will calm down.
Right now he must be
jubilant about his homework
or something like that!!

A person reportedly requested traffic control for a cattle drive on state Route 10.

Ahhh....yes, yes,
of course.....

gym class.

Scrap booking: My Memories

I'm in Luv!!

After the county fair, I overheard someone remark about how many people are into digital scrap booking on their computer.  Really?  I wondered. Hmmmmmm. I have always enjoyed the mess of scrap booking. I simply adore picking out the paper, finding embellishments, and turning things this way and that. It's part of the fun!  But....I could think of some who would rather not have the mess but, rather, would enjoy doing scrap booking on their computer (hi Mom!).

I have been messing around with a program I down loaded from My Memories.  I. Love. it.

Look at what I did!

Okay, I can't answer for the top line...but I CAN fix it.  I was able to download a recent photo of my daughter, crop another girl out of it, and enlarge it.

Next, I downloaded the (curiously named!)"Autumn Rose" paper (I got it for FREE on their website)and put it on top of her picture. I found the ribbon and made it fit to size.  Lastly, I picked out a font and color, typed in her name and then added shadowing with another color.

I could print it out or have them print it, bind it, display it on this blog...the possibilities are only limited to what I need and my own creativity.

Of course, I'm just learning how to do this...but it was so easy to change things!  I actually tried out several different kinds of ribbons.  I could have added a button or many, many, many other possibilities.

Once you pay for and download their program, there are a good amount of papers and whole sets of papers that you can get for free, or at really inexpensive prices.
I made this the cover of an album-the computer can "cut" your picture into cool shapes!!
The wording on the left is something you can just add instead of doing it yourself.
Got a little dot crazy here--kept adding and adding!!  Oh! And I did add buttons.
Here is how a page out of this album looks before I add my own pictures, wording, embellishments, and etc.
I have been having a lot of fun just playing with this program from My Memories.  In fact, even though at first glance I would not have thought this would be for me...I can see how I could use it.  My daughter goes to the TeenPact National Convention and takes 300 pictures every year.  I could take out the ones we don't like and then just have the computer add the pictures to a set of templates.  Ta da!! Album complete. OR we could add the pictures and then go thru each page adding details, wording, or embellishments. She can email it to all of her friends to enjoy.  We could go ahead and get one printed and bound for her.  I know she would love to add the feature where it plays music, runs a video, wow!!

Okay....I'm gushing. ;)  I told you I was in luv.

Fixed it!
