Rollin' in Fun....and livestock in the city

Friday was eventful.

Emmaline and I found the infamous downtown dog park.

It was hot and humid
Such a Surprise!

Biskit immediately found a cool spot
and flopped down...

Then she started a little process
where she would dig a little hole...

Here...
I think she just stopped caring
about who was watching!

Then she would flop down again.

Eventually, we felt bad for her
and let her go nakey....

Being a dog in the city is....
different.
* Leashes *
* Sidewalks *
* Strangers *

Then we got ready for the
GREENVILLE DRIVE !!
VS
The Hickory (N.C.) Crawdads
minor league baseball game.

Fluor Field is designed to look exactly like Fenway Park!
So cool!

We had excellent seats
for only $8
inexpensive fun for the whole family!

The game started slowly...

But in between the innings
everyone had a bit o' fun...

This is one of those John Deere trikes...
but it's tricked out!
It has double wheels,
regular bike handles,
and a tall seat.

Rob and his friend Hans almost got to do this race...
but some younger boys showed up
and they got to race instead.
Boo !!

AND THEN....
we spotted
a
cow.

Yes,
a genuine cow.
What a thrill!!

Poor dear didn't seem to have a cow buddy...
and, oddly enough, she was wearing a t-shirt...
but
I suppose that's city livin' fer the bovine crowd.

And so...
she was wandering the stands
looking for attention...
or hay...

In fact, she meandered over and sat down with us for a few minutes.

My dear Eburg friends...
I'm not sure where you get such a cool shirt
for your cow...
but I will keep my eye out fer ya!

The Greenville Drive
WON !
 7-6

Then we enjoyed the fireworks!

Even at 10:30pm...
it was still hot and humid...
Hooray!

I hope everyone has a great Labor Day weekend!
