Springtime!

It's been spring here for awhile...
Hmmmmm......
I hear it is still snowing
back in Ellensburg WA...

Anyways...
for the past couple of weekends
in our neighborhood
you can hear the lawn mowers and
see tons of flowers being planted...
so it must be our turn.

I'm half afraid my parents are going to see what I'm planting:

See the morning glory?
I grew up on a farm in Western Oregon

If I had a penny for every hour I spent
hoeing and digging out morning glory out of our fields...
I'd be a millionaire!
Or...close to it.

I always hated morning glory!!
But, now, I am a bonafide city gal.

In truth,
morning glory is rather pretty and viney...
Strangely enough...
I'm looking forward to seeing my old enemy!

I'm using Jiffy pots to start these flowers...

I will keep you updated. :)

That's not a threat...
it's a promise!

And now for the really urban purchase:

our new lawn mower...
ha ha ha it's on our kitchen table!
that should be a first!

We sold our lawn mower and riding lawn mower
back in July at our barn sales.

My son is
**very disappointed**
that our new lawn mower doesn't have an engine!
We have had an on-going "discussion" about this...

I don't think a postage stamp sized lawn
needs
a lawn mower with a gas engine!

Ha ha.....a mower without an engine! No wonder Robbie was disappointed in it. He knew that he'd have to use it!
