Favorite Things...Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day

Mrs. Meyers Clean Day!

I discovered this amazing line of cleaning products through a favorite blog of mine, "Pleasantview Schoolhouse."  Right now my favorite scent is the Geranium shown here below.  It's a subtle scent--just like the real flower.

The lemon verbana smells just like my grandma's house did so long ago.  When I smell it, I can just close my eyes and remember sitting quietly in soothing, warm, bath water and lifting mounds of bubbles while the soft water plinked and plunked back into the enormous claw foot tub.  If I stay still long enough, I can hear her in the kitchen; the clanking of the dinner dishes, the soft voices of her and grandpa, and the small trill of a bird outside the bathroom window.  I can see the shadow pattern of the summer leaves from the tree outside spreading over the linoleum, slowly reaching for the door.  In the evenings, the sun would set itself in that window, filling the sparkling, white bathroom with an evening glow of colors that soon turned into eerie shades of pink and then darkened into evening.
