Creepy Crime Time

Trick-or-Treaters swarmed our little county yesterday.  Although my family does not participate in the holiday, I do enjoy reading the articles and looking at the photos of the children posing in their costumes in our local newspaper the following day.

Who can resist those tiny, precious children dressed up in
darling, imaginative costumes
such as a princess fairy...?
or as a cowboy...?
or as a super hero...?
or...
or...
or as a zombie, blood-covered cheerleader?

##   What was "for realsies" creepy though?!....   ##

the Police Blotter...

Local police had their mittens full last night...
as the super heroes,
the princess fairies,
and...
and...those (gulp!) n i c e cheerleaders
began begging for treats and trying out their tricks...

But the real suffering began....
when the inanimate objects went rogue...

A bike was leaning up against a post for a couple of days on Sixth Avenue.
A car was following a person for two blocks on Pearl St.
An electric furnace reportedly went out on Idaho St.
(hmm...wonder where he was a goin'...)

SUDDENLY!!!!!
Paper reportedly was burning in the middle of Third Avenue.

THEN...
A ditch was on fire on Kittitas Highway!

PANIC!! and FEAR!!
(for realsies!!!)
caught like fire in the townspeople's minds...

A woman was heard yelling "hit me" on 11th Avenue.

Sadly, some were not strong enough...

A man screaming gibberish reportedly climbed to the top of a utility pole on North St.

Wow, this is kinda making me nervous....
it's plenty dark outside...
the wind is a howlin'
it's been awhile since I heard a truck or tractor drive by...
:: gasp! ::

 What lil' kitteh?
Did you hear something??

What?...What!
Speak English my dear...we are getting no where!
What do you see?
there's that noise again...
Let's get our brave guard dog!!
Yeah!
She will know what to do.

Hmmmmmmmm.....
Where IS my guard dog, Biskit?
What??!!
Ooohhh...Really?

You snore like a bear Biskit!
And don't try to tell me it was your bear!

Okies...

AFTER your coffee...
THEN you patrol.
