Well, the last time you peeked into my bathroom cabinet,
it was quite the mess.
But I was working on it. ;)
Do you remember this crime scene?
and the lower part of the cabinet...
Feel free to soak it ALL in...
and shake your head...
I am a wee bit grossed out myself...
At the time, I was pretty excited about the 'ITSO' brand organizers from Target.
That is the white box with the matching boxes up there in the top picture.
Not long after this picture was taken,
I went back to Target and bought more of it...
Came home very happy...
Cleared out the cabinet...
Put everything away...
and
HATED IT.
Not only that...
but my husband
HATED IT.
So...
I took all of the ITSO containers out.
Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy.
What a mess!
Also, I had taken off quite a few of the stickers.
and since I hate/dread/despise returning items...
I was not excited any more.
:: Sad Face ::
After a few weeks of walking around the pile,
I finally got a chance to return it.
I was soooo embarrassed...
you wouldn't be?
Well, I was.
Before I went into the store
(with my dear Emmaline as moral support-poor kid was embarrassed as well)
I took a cleansing breath and prayed.
Then we loaded it all into a cart and marched inside.
AND.....
the returns lady at Target made it so easy!
She did not blink an eye.
She took it all back.
All of it.
A little bit away...we paused and I thanked the Lord for His goodness to me.
All was well.
But what to do about that silly cupboard???
The mess??
Yes! In here...
Should I tease you?
Okay...
ta da!
Le Grande Tour de Room de Bathe...
On the left are extra blankets and quilts.
On the right are the different "sets" for my bed.
They are in Ziplock brand XL bags.
It's too bad I couldn't find these in clear or black...
but they all look so nice in their spot.
No dust...
No more rummaging for a quilt and spoiling the stacks...
Happiness.
An up-close picture of my Eddie Bauer blue and red set
I received as a present for my birthday about 8 or 9 years ago.
I don't use it during the winter months.
The bathroom theme has evolved into black with white dots...
it's because I found these adorable tubs/pails at Brodders Tubs by brodyandma
I had to wait a bit for these to arrive...but I am just thrilled with them!
Too cute.
The bathroom shelves look so much better...
(even with the leaning towers of washcloths)
The black pails?
They came from the local Dollar Store.
Yeah! No kidding!
They are soft and durable.
The other basket is from Target...
but the last time I was there...there were not any more to be had.
But the one I have does hold the hand towels quite nicely.
You may wonder how all of the stuff I had before fit into just a few tubs.
There is a good explanation for that...
I was looking some items over and had a thought....
how OLD is this stuff anyways??
I found this amazing place on line...it's called check cosmetic
I also found another place cosmetic wizard
You can use these places to check the expiration dates of almost everything!
I checked out the expiration dates of so many things: lotions, bath oils, and make up.
I ended up throwing away quite a bit.
So here's another Dollar Store pail....
I'm using it for cleaning cloths.
If I need a pail for cleaning...then it's easy to pull out the cloths.
And now a full view of the bottom part of the cupboard.
The fabulous cleaning caddy came from ....
the local farm/ranch type store...
Really!
I was in there to buy some new goat hoof clippers...
and decided to look around a bit...
I decided that it was
Bigger...
Sturdier...
and Cheaper
than any cleaning caddy you can find in the store.
Here's another look-see...
I'm loving the dots here!
and now for the top of the cupboard....
How about a side by side comparison???
and the bottom...
I can't seem to make the pictures the same size and be side by side...
but you get the idea!!
There may be some lingering questions...
some items are no longer in this cupboard...
come back tomorrow to find out where the Soft Soap is stored...
and where the bathroom tissue now lives...
the mystery will be revealed....
tomorrow.
