A fun day out with a new friend

HI !!

This morning, after I dropped Rob and Emmaline off at school,
I found the post office.
Ding!
Accomplishment.

Biskit and Hope were eager to get to the Dog Park...
so we hurried over there.
Fun was had.
Ding!
Accomplishment.

I brought my tuckered out pups home
and got ready to go for a quick trip to the mall...
when, my phone rang.
Laura, from Alaska, wanted to have a bit 'o fun...
would I like to go?

Ding!
Happiness!!

Alas...
no pictures...
but we had a nice time....
went to a kitchen shop and learned about classes available,
ate lunch in a below ground coffe house

* HELLO *
F*A*N*C*Y    L*A*D*Y
I had a hot ham with brie sandwich.
(Brie is fancy cheese-delish!),
* * *
afterwards...
we walked a bit around downtown...
looking into
the fancy gourmet cupcake...
the (exclusively for dogs) bakery...
the dressy dress...
and other specialty
shops
and exotic dinner spots...

* * *
OH
and apparently....you must use the crosswalk.
WITH
the walk/don't walk hand signal.
whatever.
* * *
then we checked out the enormous Mast General Store.

We hopped back into Laura's car and drove
 to the CostLess (not Costco)
and oohed over the bargains,
and, finally,
we went to the Palmetto Olive Oil Company.

We were given a little bowl of bread pieces...
and sampled many, many different olive oils and vinegars.
Some of the vinegars we sampled using vanilla ice cream. (!)
Think of olive oil with different flavors...
Blood Orange
or
Persian lime
or
Garlic
or, how about....
Chipotle??
yum!

A certain California olive oil had the taste of green apples and cut grass...
yep, just like when you were a kid...
eating...
grass...

OH
and the vinegars!

one of them had Lavender infused into it...
it tasted like Ellensburg....

cinnamon pear?
-tasted like Christmas-

dark chocolate?
-unreal-
imagine dark chocolate with the ping of balsalmic vinegar
paired with vanilla ice cream and berries and some mint leaves...

wow...so many, many new thoughts...
and brain connections being made...

there was also
strawberry and raspberry flavors...

sooo....
after dripping vinegar on my tummy-
and the lady pointing it out -
and going to the restroom to scrub-
and feeling like a hick that never gets out-

we left.

We then went to a bakery store
and enjoyed our time there.

Then...oh dear...
our time was done...

Such a lovely time!

Thank you Laura!!
hey...are you a foodie or something?
