The Trip

We are headed for bed....but I just wanted to say hello!

Rose and I stayed up packing until 2:30 am this morning. Bob crashed and burned at midnight! (He's had a rough week though)  Later, I crawled into bed but could not sleep.  At 4:00am the alarm went off, so we jumped out of bed, and got ourselves into the car.  It was an interesting day.  We travelled by SouthWest Airlines and they were wonderful.  We also booked our hotel and rental car through them to gain more miles.  We were impressed!

We did enjoy our trip together.  We laughed a lot, had some serious discussions, and wiped away some tears.  It's really, really hard to believe that we are actually doing this.  And going home without her.

At the Greenville airport, while waiting by the baggage claim, we met another young lady headed for her freshman year at college.

We got ourselves squared away, visited a local store for a few details, and went out for dinner.  We ate at an old time Southern favorite of ours: Steak and Shake.  The servers were entertaining and the prices were very good.

So we are here now, and I have some pictures that Rose took of the beautiful and diminutive Greenville airport. Ahem....INTERNATIONAL airport. Take care...I need some sleep! :)
